El Instituto Carlos I de Física Teórica y Computacional de la Universidad de Granada pasa así a ser uno de los centros de investigación andaluces con mayor potencia de cálculo
Carlos I Institute of Theoretical and Computational Physics of the University of Granada has just completed the upgrade of its PROTEUS supercomputer. With this upgrade, the Institute becomes one of the Andalusian research centers with the highest computing power. The University of Granada, which already has the UGR-GRID supercomputer in its Computer Resource Center, thus becomes a reference center for scientific supercomputing in Spain.
The rector of the University of Granada, Francisco González Lodeiro, will inaugurate on Wednesday, July 18, at 1:45 p.m., the new extension of the UGR’s PROTEUS supercomputer at the Carlos I Institute of Physics in the Faculty of Sciences. Pedro Garrido, Professor of Condensed Matter Physics and member of the Carlos I Institute of Theoretical and Computational Physics of the University of Granada, will explain the extension of the Proteus supercomputer.
